The point of this blog is - anything that is good is connected to something else that is good...though a seemingly trivial fact, actively pursuing the trail of connections is what leads to the super things. One gem is always connected to another.
Above applies to people, music, books, activities, and everything else that I can think of.
Here is a bad example of the above truism, but an example nonetheless. Below I have listed how a Rediff review of a movie lead me to some good things -
Rediff review of the movie 'Where the Wild Things Are' lead me to children's picture book by Maurice Sendak
While searching for story's meaning after downloading the book I found - 1989 article - "Taming the wild things - Maurice Sendak and child psychology"
In the above article I found - Kenny's Window and other books by Maurice Sendak
While searching for Kenny's Window I found http://www.futureofthebook.org/blog/archives/2004/12/ - a webpage that has a bunch of people specifying 3 books that influenced their world view (That is great info, right ?)
In http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caldecott_Medal I found - lists the award winners since 1938; btw, medal is awarded annually to artist of most distinguished American picture book for children)
